Influences -- Mel Zaid, Sculptor |

A point of special interest is that by
utilizing dual backgrounds in art and science a
substantial and unique body of work has been
created. A single image and its variations are
reconstructed as they might appear in
mind-constructed alternate "multi-dimensional
Universes".
By redefining and intermixing "reality and
non-reality" and following this single form in
its combined figurative-abstract imagery, deeply
thought provoking works result.
This work of over 25 years has produced a
unique multi-space visual language in both
sculpture and flat-art -- "talking" about
images, both static and in motion, as they are
envisioned in this and other Universes.
Non-conflicting echoes of Brancusi, Trova,
Magritte, DaVinci, Rosso, Boccioni, Escher,
Giacometti, and others -- as well as Futurism,
Expressionism, realized-Conceptualism, and
Minimalism -- are seen throughout the evolved
