ArtLife invited Mel Zaid (sculptor) to create its "final edition" front cover in "stone" based on its 1981 cover drawing -- plus an additional back cover. After 6+ months these were completed and proof copies provided. Because of time/cost constraints, this project did not go forward. Nonetheless, these sculptures have a unique place in the history of ArtLife.
